One of the resources Dave mentioned for learning OpenGL - OpenGL from the ground up by Jeff LaMarche. This is a series of a blog posts with a ton info, highly recommended for diving into OpenGL.
Thanks to Dave for presenting and to Chad Sellers for recording.
Chad Sellers of Useful Fruit Software (and Baltimore Cocoa member) just released a major update to his application Pear Note. Pear Note is a really cool app for taking notes where you can not only take text notes, but also record audio, video, and incorporate slides. Go read more about the 2.0 release and download it now.
At our next meetup, Dave Troy will give an overview of OpenGL and techniques associated with it, performance considerations, a brief overview of the differences between OpenGLES 1 and 2, as well as some discussion of matrix math, triangles, projections, and the like.
OpenGL is a cross-language, cross-platform API for writing 2D and 3D graphics programs. If you have any interest in graphics programming, especially games, you won’t want to miss this.
The next meetup will be on 8/11, you can get more info and rsvp on the meetup page
Below is the video and slides from our last meetup where Chris Ashworth presented a “How to for an easy undo”. Zach Waugh also gave a short lightning talk on Fast App Switching in iOS 4.0
I finally got around to creating a more substantial website for Baltimore Cocoa. I’m going to post here about upcoming meetups, videos/slides from previous meetups, as well as anything else I come across that might be interesting to cocoa devs. Subscribe to the RSS feed or follow on tumblr to stay up to date.
I also want to thank SmartLogic for becoming our latest sponsor.
