One of the resources Dave mentioned for learning OpenGL - OpenGL from the ground up by Jeff LaMarche. This is a series of a blog posts with a ton info, highly recommended for diving into OpenGL.

Pear Note 2.0 released

Chad Sellers of Useful Fruit Software (and Baltimore Cocoa member) just released a major update to his application Pear Note. Pear Note is a really cool app for taking notes where you can not only take text notes, but also record audio, video, and incorporate slides. Go read more about the 2.0 release and download it now.

Next meetup: Introduction to OpenGL on iOS

At our next meetup, Dave Troy will give an overview of OpenGL and techniques associated with it, performance considerations, a brief overview of the differences between OpenGLES 1 and 2, as well as some discussion of matrix math, triangles, projections, and the like.

OpenGL is a cross-language, cross-platform API for writing 2D and 3D graphics programs. If you have any interest in graphics programming, especially games, you won’t want to miss this.
